Working Boats of Roatan Honduras

Pictures Taken in Oak Ridge - Lucy Point - Jonesville, Roatan,
Bay Islands of Honduras, Central America
Working boats of all sizes and descriptions make Roatan their home - cargo, shrimping and lobster. They travel to many Central American ports and even to Cartagena and other exotic foreign ports. These boats have long provided work for the men of Roatan and most are "home" docked on Roatan's East End in the communities of Oak Ridge and Jonesville (Lucy Point is between these two communities) and in and near French Harbor. Some of the busiest are the dorries, or boat taxis, used here extensively.
