Pictures of Oak Ridge, Bay Islands, Honduras

Oak Ridge is often called the Venice of Roatan because of its boat-oriented transportation. Nowadays, you don't see so many dugouts on the water; they've mostly been turned into planters. Everyone has their little boats for getting to the stores, restaurants, and so on.

But the charm of this town is still there. A visit to Roatan is not complete without visiting Oak Ridge's Mangrove Tunnel and, of course, world-famous B.J.'s Backyard where the specialties are ice cold drinks and good island style meals. There is also a computer for people to use to check their email and browse on the internet. Be sure to ask for some of B.J's delicious deviled crab. Find great island art by "La Gitana", although La Gitana shows most of her art at her nearby Oak Ridge home. B.J. knows where all the house rentals in Oak Ridge are, too.
